About

This is why Why5 exists.

Why5 is a facilitation and coaching practice built around 5-MeO-DMT, founded by Jamie Norrish and held today by a wider group of experienced clinicians and practitioners across Canada who take the work as seriously as he does. This practice draws from a number of health and wellness modalities matched to what each person specifically needs, all in service of one purpose: transformation that leads to a better quality of life.

The organization works with people from any background or belief, and rests on a few simple observations about how people move through this work: that clarity tends to arrive in stillness rather than noise, that the body remembers what the mind has learned to ignore, and that people who are met openly and supported well tend to go on supporting others in the same way.

Our approach

Depth without the dogma

We work with people wherever they happen to stand, and welcome you exactly as you are, belief system included. The approach draws from a range of coaching and body based practices, chosen for what fits the person in front of us.

This work is spiritual, and it meets you exactly as you are, with whatever vocabulary or beliefs you already carry. Ceremony here stays plain and quiet, so that what surfaces belongs to you rather than to a tradition.

Who holds the work

Built by people it changed.

Why5 exists to help people improve their quality of life. Psychedelics act as an accelerant to personal growth, and years of testing and refinement have gone into building a program that turns that potential into lasting results. It is held by a group of clinicians and practitioners across Canada, many with decades of experience, brought together because this work is powerful.

That growth carries forward into everyone around the person who experiences it. Once someone moves through this kind of change, they become motivated to help others reach the same place. This is the ripple effect, one person's growth creating the energy to help the next person grow, and it continues from there.

Our values

What the work rests on

Five values that guide everything this practice does.

1

Presence

Real work happens when someone is fully with what's in front of them, not managing it or explaining it away.

2

Personalization

No belief system is required and no two people are met the same way. The approach is matched to the person, not the other way around.

3

Commitment

This practice is committed to holding the work at the highest possible standard, and that same commitment is needed from the person doing it, because change depends on both.

4

Generosity

This practice gives fully, in time, attention, and care, because that is what allows a person to go on giving the same to someone else.

5

Trust

Trust is what allows someone to let go completely, and this practice is built to earn that trust before it ever asks for it.

“I have watched people put down things they had carried for thirty years, in an afternoon.”
