Who we are

What is being provided

A six-week programme. Two to four weeks of preparation, one ceremony, and four weeks of integration. It includes preparation calls, the ceremony itself, and integration sessions, as set out on the Ceremonies page.

No outcome is promised. Why5 provides facilitation, preparation and integration. It does not promise a result, a particular experience, or any therapeutic or medical benefit.

Eligibility, and our right to decline

You must be the age of majority in your province or territory.

Participation depends on screening. Why5 may decline to proceed at any stage, before or after payment, if screening or a conversation indicates this is not the right work for you or not the right time. **Where that happens we will say so plainly.**

Assumption of risk and informed consent

This work carries risk. You will sign a waiver before ceremony day that sets out those risks specifically, and you should read it rather than sign it. These terms do not replace that waiver.

By participating you confirm that you have disclosed your medical history and current medications accurately and completely. **Incomplete or inaccurate disclosure puts you at risk and is grounds for us to stop.**

Fees and payment

The programme fee is $1,600.

Travel, accommodation, and venue rental where a venue is required are additional and depend on location.

**[NEEDS CONFIRMATION before publication: a deposit of half the fee holds the ceremony date. The balance is due before preparation begins. Cancellation carries a minimum charge of $200. Rescheduling is free.]** These terms came from a recording and were deliberately held back from the Ceremonies page pending confirmation. They should be confirmed and reviewed before they appear anywhere.

Confidentiality

What you share with Why5 is treated as confidential and is not shared outside the people working on your programme, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to prevent serious harm.

The clinical counsellor is separately bound by her own professional obligations.

We ask the same of you in a group or retreat setting. What other participants share is theirs.

Limitation of liability

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
